Home > Training opportunities Training opportunitiesThe Havens offer specialised and accredited education and training focusing on victim care. The courses have been developed with the Metropolitan Police’s Project Sapphire. They are delivered by recognised experts in forensic examination, trauma and aftercare, sexual health, policing and criminal law. Our training is open to healthcare professionals who wish to increase their knowledge of the issues surrounding sexual violence, best practice in forensic examination and aftercare issues. It is also open for those who simply want to increase their awareness of the services available. We also offer insightful medico-legal training, looking at how healthcare professionals can give evidence confidently and effectively in a courtroom. In all training sessions, we use case studies and interactive sessions to encourage participants to share the benefits of their experience and learn from each other. Two-day course for clinicians interested in updating their forensic skills or who are interested in the care and management of recent victims of sexual assault. Delegate fee: £375
