People you will meet - paediatrician

When a child under the age of 13 has been assaulted, a children’s doctor (paediatrician) will also be involved in the forensic examination, medical care and coordination of after-care, alongside the other staff. Both male and female paediatricians work at the Havens.

Sometimes it may also be appropriate for a paediatrician to work alongside the other doctor in cases where young people aged 13-16 years old have been assaulted.
