People you will meet - doctor

Your forensic examination at the Havens (if you choose to have one) will be performed by a specially trained doctor (known as a Sexual Offences Examiner). All of the doctors at the Havens are women. They are assisted throughout the examination by a crisis worker.

The doctor will also provide or advise you about any medical treatment you may need, such as emergency contraception and basic first aid. She will also advise you on timings and appointments for any follow-up medical care (such as tests for sexually transmitted infections).
