The Haven, Paddington: Education and Symptom Management Group is a 12 session weekly group (women only) focusing on psychological education as well as helping you to find better ways of coping with symptoms related to rape and sexual assault. These symptoms might include: flashbacks, nightmares, sleep problems, anxiety, low mood, panic, irritability and anger.
What people who have attended said about the group:
‘Definitely attend. It’s as beneficial as you make it. You get as much out as you put in and I loved it!’
‘Go. Whey you start, you can’t imagine how it will help. But it does. You surprise yourself’
‘Even though it is scary at first, joining the group will speed up your recovery and you will feel better about yourself as it gives a chance to help others.’
‘To go – it was a huge weight off my back not to feel alone’
